Found our first letterbox today!

From: Amy (kevamy1@yahoo.com) | Date: 2007-06-14 05:16:18 UTC
I stumbled upon and article in Family Fun magazine while trying to come
up with things to do with my kids this summer. I almost didn't read
the article because it appeared to be part of a car ad, but am I glad I
read it anyway! My three kids and I went trapsing though a beautiful
park today and found 2 boxes. My 8 year old absolutely LOVED it! The
6 and 4 year old were happy to be in the woods at least. This is an
absolutely wonderful activity! We are looking forward to finding many
more!

We stumbled upon a similar article several years ago in Prevention
magazine and like you, we got HOOKED! Good luck in your hunts!

It is a fun thing to do with kids. I've taken my niece and nephews and
they helped me hide a box too. They loved it and we all got a day out
exercising. Congrats on your first find and welcome to a new
obsession if you are anything like the rest of us. Enjoy!!

I agree, two of my nephews love to go 'boxing and take it very
seriously to not be observed and to re-hide the box so that not a
spec of it shows from any direction. They are such fun!

Hi Amy,

Welcome to the insanity! You may want to check out the other Yahoo
group, especially for New letterboxers:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/newboxers/

No question is too silly to ask there - several "veteran" boxers are
standing by to answer your queries!

There are also regional lists...where are you located?
